Wild Tacoz has been in the making for over 50 years. Teddy Koumarianos, our culinary creator, originally learned to cook from his father, who owned The Apollo from 1956-1977. In fact, it was housed right next door to our flagship Wild Tacoz location in Falls Church, VA.
In his thirties, Teddy’s health was failing and his doctor prescribed a laundry list of medications. He ripped up the prescriptions and dove into studying nutrition. He knew that by changing his cooking and eating habits, he could heal himself...and he did. With that knowledge, he created the Kool Foods line of products so others could reach their optimal health too.
Over time, he developed an unusual array of recipes, all designed to please your taste buds while maximizing the nutritional content. Those recipes make up the backbone of our “Greek-Mex” menu. By offering both the Kool Foods products and the Wild Tacoz offerings at our locations, we give our customers the opportunity to merge the two: Get Something Hot- Leave with Something Kool.
Teddy insists on using local ingredients farmed in the old-fashioned way by the Amish. Everything here has been prepared by hand and cooked to order…no canned or boxed products and every dish has passed rigorous taste tests! Ask Teddy’s family and friends!
